A wildfire is burning in the Tonto National Forest near Apache Junction.
Residents east of Mountain View Road. west of the Tonto National Forest, between Broadway Road to Lost Dutchman State Park have been placed in "SET - Be Alert" status.

Starting today, the Palo Verde Generating Station will be performing tests for the 70 Sirens around the Palo Verde Generating Station. This will include a short activation of the siren. Testing is expected to be completed by September 13.
