As far as a I'm aware, the ferry crosses once a day. It stays 20 mins before returning to the mainland. She spoke to everyone on the island so how was she supposed to do that in 20mins? And there were others with her too. It's quite normal for people to use the chartered boats.

Yep, my 4 kids are the same, able to get into Glasgow and Edinburgh for free, even took the bus up to Ullapool recently. They're so grateful for their passes. A way to improve the system would be for kids to get their pass through the school but apart from that it's fantastic👍🏴
