As someone that’s taking a very thorough analysis on your stories, I have to say you have some very strong descriptions. Your writing style is very visual and thematic. One criticism that I will say (and it’s something I have to work on myself) is to make the dialogue flow more.

It really depends on the butt spewing those fumes. That gust of hot gas tends to feel more bassy when up close and personal. When your nose is pressed up against it, that’s where you feel the entire thing shake. Problem tho is if you press too hard, it goes silent.
