Salt n Vinegar woodsmoke ? Has someone been bunging crisps on the fire? 🤔🤭
Pub 2964, White Cross, Groeswen. Now this was brilliant! Rumours of an upstairs room with interesting memorabilia unproven. Like a simpleton, I ask for "the beer wiv the tiger on it". Oh dear. Fire struggled to kick in, nice smell of salt n vinegar woodsmoke . Classic.

And we worry at Bristol City ! United are a shit show these days. Some of their players would struggle to get on our bench !! 🤭
New Owners, eh Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, now confirmed as minority stakeholders in Manchester United, are executing a cost-cutting strategy that involves laying off between 100 to 250 staff members. This move is aimed at redirecting financial resources towards enhancing the first team under manager Rúben Amorim, despite the club's record revenues. The layoffs are part of a broader initiative to address financial losses and boost the team's competitiveness. This decision has sparked concerns among the staff regarding job security, with some pointing fingers at past management decisions involving Erik ten Hag, Dan Ashworth, and the hefty £200m transfer window spending. The strategic overhaul comes after Ratcliffe's acquisition of a 29% stake in the club, signaling a new era of financial and operational restructuring at Old Trafford.

Twine is a luxury player. Takes all dead ball kicks, but his overall workrate is questionable 🤔 People like Knight, McNally, Dickie and Wells (yes) are stick ons for me because their efforts make a difference. Grafters are what's needed in a tough league. 💪
@ForeverBristol1 Hmm, perhaps but if that’s 36 games he doesn’t affect as much then we’re carrying? I know it’s not quite that, he’s better than that. But for a marquee signing it just feels like he should be edging towards Player of the Season - and he’s not

When I first started supporting the City, Fred Ford was the gaffer. He signed my mate, Danny Bartley, who had a decent career with Swansea and Hereford too. Top pro 👌

He was a good, solid pro who knew where the goal was. Very sad when you hear of your old heroes passing away. RIP John
We are saddened to learn of the passing of John Tudor at the age of 78. John scored 72 goals in 219 appearances for the club. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. 🖤🤍

After the game we met up.with our friends Joyce and Paul for a late Sunday lunch at the Spotted Cow in North Street. Good food, good company but it was a shame I was driving. The Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout I know to be superb!
