Bolstering #Iraq’s Climate Response through Regional Environmental Cooperation I argue how 🇮🇶, through adept navigation of the shifting regional dynamics, can emerge as a force in tackling regional #climate challenges. By doing so,🇮🇶also plays a🗝️ role in fostering #stability.

I hope this will materialise into a substantial initiative to serve vulnerable communities in #Iraq, rather than becoming another financial tool benefiting some political factions and fueling more internal instability. #COP28 #COP28UAE
Iraq's Minister of Environment said at COP28, the CBI approved the establishment of the Green Bank for Sustainable Development to finance climate change projects. The initial capital of the bank will be 100 billion Iraqi dinars and to reach 400 billion dinars by 2028.
