All aircraft on the installation have been evacuated/secured in preparation for #HurricaneIdalia . During the evacuation, the 50th ARS recorded St. Elmo’s fire, a weather phenomenon in which luminous plasma is created in an atmospheric electric field.

The 6th ARW recently visited Nellis AFB to provide aerial refueling for one of the largest aerial combat exercises within the DoD. Exercises like Red Flag provide Airmen the opportunity to experience realistic combat scenarios in preparation for future warfare.
