Maybe they are in some cases. Maybe they aren't. It doesn't matter. You can't suppress something that's true (like VAERS reporting numbers) because you dislike the inference. Investigate the claims and publish your own story if you like.
@mtaibbi I’m not an expert, but a lot of ‘vaccine injury’ claims list symptoms that look a lot like ‘long Covid’ to me.

Right wing populists have completely lost the plot as to who the enemy is. Elizabeth Warren does not take money from health care (or any) lobbyists or CEOs. Look at the average donation. CEOs don't give in $30 increments! Use your brains, people. If 10,000 nurses give you small contributions, that doesn't mean you're in the pocket of big pharma

So even if it’s a legitimate bill for services, and even if it’s true that Politico pulls in $200 mil in ad revenue a year (that seems high but I’ll stipulate), that’s a pretty fat cushion at a time when local media are crawling across a revenue Sahara.

The contracts are public, but I didn’t say anything until after I reached out and they refused comment. If they’re telling Brian Stelter it’s just the right price for their invaluable work, it seems appropriate for me to comment on the bullshitness of that.

And do you know why I’m still pissed about the Steele dossier? Because no one answered for it. I’m still upset about it the same way I’m still mad about the WMD intel assessment — another unpunished scam by the same agencies, amplified by many of the same reporters.
