Slavic Police Association is representing Slavic staff and officers and looking to engage with Slavic communities. To report crime call 101 or in emergency 999.
The secret behind our logo. The Traditional Red Embroidery of the Slavic People "Embroidery, one of the foremost Slavic folk arts, was so revered that it was mentioned in folktales, songs, and proverbs."
Today two of our officers were stabbed on duty and seriously hurt. They were out there protecting people of London. They were there to stand between evil and good people. They went above and beyond to ensure that the suspect was arrested. We pray for their quick recovery

In October 2020 we had the privilege to meet President Zelenskyy and the First Lady to learn of their hope and optimism for Ukraine’s future.
Today we stand with the President and all of Ukraine’s people as they bravely fight for that future 🇺🇦 W & C
It is with great sadness I'm wrriting this. The war in Ukraine has devastating impact on our members.
@metpoliceuk
officer lost 4 members of his extended family in Mariupol. The youngest was only 1.5 year old. After rocket hit their flat.😥
@MattJukesMPS
our people need support.
We are getting many emails from our members that we represent and from colleagues all across
@metpoliceuk
, everyone is very emotional. We also engaged with the Ukrainian community and people are crying. Please forgive us if at times our emotions transfer to our posts.
Waking up to a message. "Ukrainian Airborne Assault team engaging in heavy battles near Kyiv." Getting messages is very emotional but i know my friends are still alive and fighting.

Our officer recently has been assaulted on duty. She has been racially abused just because of her origin and a name budge with foreign name. The abuse was so dramatic that it has left her very traumatised. It's
#UNACCEPTABLE
to abuse our officers. We hope justice will take place!
Our colleagues
@MPSFirearms
“Many feel that they owe it to themselves and their families to take a period of reflection to decide whether they wish to continue to take the potentially life-changing risk of becoming involved in a shooting.”
Would you run into a fire like those two
@metpoliceuk
officers did? Would you risk your life to save someone else? This is real life

. This is what they do! We are proud to have colleagues like this. We are proud to be part of one big

We are immensely greatful to

Having just met with

The most difficult thing in the morning now is not seeing messages from family on the front line. I know they are OK, they're just busy, I hope...
#StandWithUkriane
Today is the day of silence, reflection, and hope. The war in Ukraine still goes on, but in the end, good will prevail against evil.
@MPS_Slavic
is incredibly grateful to
@MattJukesMPS
for the support provided to us through this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you Sir🫡
12 months ago at 0337hrs I recieved a one word text, "Started." The war in Ukraine began. My life and the lives of our members will never be the same. We lost friends, we lost family members, many lost their homes and had to join their families here in the UK. We still suffer...
We share our pain again. We have been informed that another our member have lost cousin in
#Ukraine
, who got killed near Mykolaiv beginning of May. Please look after your colleagues. When they're upset, sad, quiet. There might be a reason.

Sir Mark Rowley says it as it is. We haven't seen many leaders willing to discuss those issues in the past. Hopefully, the better future is coming. Thank you Boss.
@DameLynneOwens
Christmas good news. Our chair of

has been commended by Ukrainian ambassador Vadym Prystaiko
@UkrEmbLondon
for his voluntary work supporting people in Ukraine with humanitarian aid. Congratulations to our chair for excellent community work.
@MPSCommunities
We would like to thank you to

We completely agree. The sad reality is that officers are not willing to speak up because they feel that no one cares. Simply referring people to OH and telling them that someone cares is not enough!
It is incredibly busy time. The day does not have enough hours to finish it all. We are doing our best to support our friends and families. Some of us doing what we can and are out of the UK at the moment.

What do you say to your wife who is crying because her family is in Ukraine? What do you say to your sister whose husband is being mobilised to fight the war in Ukraine? What do you say to your friends who are protecting Ukraine and dying. Can someone please advise?
Beautiful location, wonderful people, great company.

We all recognise and appreciate the level of accountability and fair due process. However, the role is voluntary, and no one has to put themselves through the risk of not seeing family and friends and going through a terrible stress period. People unwilling to be armed. That's

As one of the firearms officers myself and having many members who are also firearms, I can assure you it's nothing to do with us vs. them mentality. It's individual decision of each and every officer to decide if they are comfortable to voluntarily carry the burden.

Nothing to do with solidarity. However, I was struggling to explain to my wife the other day why I volunteer to do the job that potentially has a risk of being imprisoned for,as there is no support, if I can do normal policing for the same pay.
Today, a colleague mentioned that last week he lost his good friend, also a police officer, who committed suicide. There was a pose in that conversation. You could feel the pain and range of emotions going inside. We understood each other without words... He then says, since last

It's very simple. I and my colleagues want to be able to go home at the end of the shift to our families. We want to enjoy time with our children and families and not be in a position where all of that might be taken away. The job is just a job, a dangerous one, voluntary!

It was a great honour to be invited for the 2nd time to visit Bulgarian embassy and to be hosted by the ambassador Mr Raykov. We have discussed how we can work together in promoting international cultural cooperation and making it easier for communities to speak to police.
Having met Sir Mark Rowley and

twice now it's inspiring to see true spirit of leadership and willingness to change for the better. May God sends you the strength and energy to achieve what you have planned.
Many will remember the distressing images of officers who were subjected to fierce violence during disorder in Hyde Park in April 2021.
Those responsible were at court yesterday and received suspended sentences.

I can say with confidence that all of us present really enjoyed the day. It was lovely to speak to people who appreciate what we do. I confess, today was one of those days when I was actually proud to be a police officer, and it reminded me why we joined the job.

You are wrong. Anyone who wears uniform is part of one family and if you have an issue with what your family memeber does, speak to them first. To call anyone "Twat" just because you don't like what they do or who they are without knowing them is utterly wrong. Shame...
