That'd be UEFA B GK, which would cost you £1610, but only after you've done UEFA B (£960) and National GK (£70), but only after you've done UEFA C (£500) and I2CF (£100)

One of the biggest things I've learned about coaching after the last year or two is about knowing your worth.
Not just financially, but understanding and being confident in the value you bring to the players you coach and the environment you coach in.
Back yourself.

Starting working with an U12 goalkeeeper for the first time in a couple of weeks, so have invested in some size 4 balls especially.
Interestingly, a couple of people have suggested using size 5s to "get them used to it", but I'm not convinced.
Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Seems the issues with the UEFA C are widespread, pretty disappointing really considering grassroots coaches have been waiting YEARS for this only to miss out or be given false hope. Some of us didn't even get so much as an email either... What a mess 😫

Any young goalkeepers out there considering getting into coaching, even if you're still playing, my advice: DO IT.
Get your badges, observe sessions, get involved.
There are opportunities out there. Clubs and players need goalkeeper coaches.
Don't wait until you retire!

Sounds harsh, but how will 99% of these lads cope when the club let them go before age 16 and they find themselves looking for clubs at step 6... I get it's a "cool experience", but I worry that it sets expectations (for the kids and their parents...)

Having the UEFA C as a requirement for the £70 one is just ridiculous too. I'm DESPERATE to get onto that course, but I, like hundreds others, can't even get onto the UEFA C because there aren't enough spaces. They are killing grassroots coaching.

I'm very proud of the group we've grown in 4 months.
Starting from nothing, we have 10-12 young 'keepers showing up week-in-week-out, keen to learn and there to have fun playing the game we love.
Not enough kids want to be GKs, but I will continue to do my part to change that!

Too many coaches think too highly of themselves. I don't claim to be a better goalkeeper than any of those that I work with, nor do I claim to know everything about coaching. I genuinely do it to try and help keepers get from our sessions what THEY want.

As a goalkeeper, you will often only get praise if you pull off a wonder save or stop a penalty, so it's important to take time recognise everything that you do well in a game...

Tonight was my last session of the year with Alfie. He'd never played football before we started training 3 months ago and in that time he's come so far!

I always set aside at least 5 minutes at the end of my sessions for my 'keepers to work on goal kicks, otherwise it seldom gets practiced and is only utilised in-game - not good!

First "Club MO/GK" sessions under the belt! Two hours with a group of 12 (4 + 8) young goalkeepers, including a real range of those who have been doing it for years and those trying it out for the first time.
