This is an announcement 8 years in the making. The policy process is frustrating and long but truly thrilling when a proposal finally makes it across the finish line. Forever grateful to all those who have worked so hard on this over these past few years. A historic day!

Still no January refugee data as of this morning on the State Department admissions website:
The State Dept. typically posts refugee admissions data on the 5th, but January’s numbers, due Wednesday, are still missing. Could be a routine delay, happened under Biden & Trump 1.0, or an early sign that refugee data will now be harder to access. Link:
