🌿 Racism Exists, But It Won’t Change My Belief in Love & Humanity Hearing blatant racism—like what I experienced in an X Space where someone said, "I hate Patrick Mahomes because he's a nig... and I hate nig..." right after I spoke was a painful reminder of the hate that still exists. But I refuse to let someone else’s ignorance harden my heart. ✨ Love is stronger than hate. ✨ Compassion will always outweigh division. ✨ I won’t let racism make me bitter—I’ll keep choosing growth, understanding, and truth. We can acknowledge the reality of racism while still holding onto the belief that change is possible. Hate won’t win here. 🌱 #LoveOverHate #EndRacism #KeepYourHeartOpen

100% agree! We shouldn’t judge someone for having therapy in their car—the real question is why. Are they dealing with eviction? In a DV situation where this is the safest place? Is it more private than a home with noisy roommates? Every scenario is different, and we need to meet clients where they’re at, not where we are. That said, driving during a session is a safety issue—I wouldn’t hold a session in that case. But for those parked and seeking a safe space, the focus should be on understanding their situation, not judgment. The same applies to supervisees who may be navigating similar struggles. Rather than judging, maybe we should offer resources—housing assistance, DV support, or access to safer therapy environments. Mental health care needs to be flexible and accessible, not just ideal.

@AimTrue7 Amy, some of the posts from therapists on this platform are just sad. Some of them only see profits, but don't want to say quiet part loud because it comes off as pretentious. I'm happy for the great things you do on this platform and others I've encountered.

Absolutely! While therapy looks different globally, we face similar challenges in the U.S. The divide between those who can access private, high-quality care and those who can’t is a prime example of the ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots’ in mental health. This is the problem right now in mental health—accessibility shouldn’t be a privilege. Everyone deserves quality care, no matter their circumstances. 🌍🌱

Absolutely, class differences in therapy access and expectations are real. Many lower-income clients may not have the privilege of privacy due to shared living spaces or cultural norms. This highlights the need for more accessible care that meets people where they are rather than assuming a one-size-fits-all approach. The only issue I would have is safety—I've seen people take sessions while driving, which can be dangerous. Privacy is one thing, but safety should always come first. Therapy shouldn’t be a privilege reserved for the ‘haves’ while the ‘have-nots’ struggle to find support. Some therapists are flat-out forgetting empathy in the client experience, and that’s a major problem.

@davidlovejoyx Absolutely! When you nurture that deep connection with yourself, inner peace naturally follows. Alignment brings clarity, strength, and calm.

🌿 You Are More Than a Label A diagnosis can help explain what you're experiencing, but it doesn’t define you. ✨ Focus on healing, not just the label. ✨ Work on growth, not just the diagnosis. ✨ Build coping skills that empower you. You are a whole person—not just a condition or category. Your journey is about progress, resilience, and self-discovery. 🌱 #MoreThanADiagnosis #HealingOverLabels #MentalHealthMatters

🌿 Understanding PTSD: Healing Beyond the Trauma Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) isn’t just about what happened—it’s about how the body and mind hold onto it. 📊 Key Facts: 🔹 PTSD affects 6% of U.S. adults in their lifetime (but I believe this number may be skewed, as many cases go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed). 🔹 Symptoms include flashbacks, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, & intrusive thoughts. 🔹 Trauma is stored in the body—modalities like EMDR, somatic therapy, & mindfulness can help with healing. Healing is possible. PTSD doesn’t define you—your resilience does. 🌱 #PTSDawareness #HealingJourney #TraumaRecovery
