Don has been such a great mentor and friend for 10 years. It’s not hyperbole to say there’s no one in hockey who had more on their plate than he did in overseeing both hockey and business ops. He handled it all, treated us w/ respect and it usually came w/ a great sense of humor.

Couldn’t agree more with Rod/Don today - the season ended in disappointing fashion but it wasn’t a disappointing season. Franchise record number of points, a STM base that’s never been higher (until next year), back-to-back Division titles and Canes gear everywhere you look.

I lost my Dad yesterday. He battled through and overcame so many conditions and diseases for so many years and it wasn’t even one of those that got him. He was a great dad and an unbelievable “Buddy” to Tate and Sloane. His face lit up like no other whenever he saw them.
