I was an EMT-Paramedic for 15 years. Ears are difficult to bandage. You would use a bandage that large for a wound that just occurred. I would also use kerlix around the head to hold it in place. I would not use that bandage for something that is not actively bleeding.
@patriottakes
Retired paramedic here: do you know how many vaccines and physical fitness requirements we must have to work first response? Taking a Covid vaccine is one of the EASIEST things to do. This is just political performance art.
@davidaxelrod
Disagree. Look how much it destabilized Trump, his family, and the maga following. They were still ranting about it today. Dems need to do more of this. Push Trump and his entire following to their breaking point, then give them one more hard shove. Their extremism is itching to

@LMPD
@Walmart
Uh, people working at Walmart etc are paying taxes. Taxes that fund the salaries of public servants. She works for them. They don’t work for her.
Now is a great time to remember that during the Obama Administration, Tehran Tom Cotton sent a letter to Iran to help undermine US policy on Iran because he thought it would hurt Barack Obama.
Nine Americans are dead, an unknown number are missing or held hostage, yet President Biden is nowhere to be seen and has nothing to say. He’s totally overmatched by events and paralyzed in a crisis, partly because his own foolish appeasement of Iran fueled a campaign of terror.
@EliseStefanik
Inflation was 1.4%, gas was 2.39, and the unemployment rate was 20%. Elise wants 1 out of 5 American workers to be out of work so her gas will be cheaper.
@mmfa
Such tough talk from such soft people. I’ve listened to conservatives in my area talk like this all my life. In a previous career, I arrested a few. Responded to the emergencies of many more. You learn very quickly how very fragile they actually are.
@NightManWins
@joncoopertweets
Right. If they were worried about continued bleeding, I would think he would have something securing it around his head. They make head bands that serve that purpose and look more like an exercise headband. At home you’d think roller gauze would probably do the trick for a few

@NikolenDC
If these things are about “heritage” and “learning from history”, why aren’t there any schools named after Sherman, Sheridan, and Grant in these old confederate states? I mean, did those guys teach the confederacy the ultimate lesson?
@notlarrysabato
I have to disagree. The terrorist attack on January 6th shapes views on every subsequent event. You cannot address “political violence” in the wake of an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate without at least addressing the assassination attempt on all of Congress.
@What46HasDone
Now that we aren’t being forced by media to talk about Biden’s age 24/7, people have suddenly noticed how fucking weird Republicans are.
@DrewSav
Absolutely, especially if Dems hold suburban moderates. They’ll chase that constituency because it is the most likely to vote and Trump’s highly infrequent voters will probably return to not voting since he won’t be on the ballot anymore after 2024.
@KenDilanianNBC
Conspiracy theories sell “belonging”. The people who believe that media, elections, vaccines, and most do the rest of the world are “rigged” against them feel special because they think they have access to information that normal people don’t. It lets them believe that they are
@AKBrews
When I worked as a paramedic a man once filed a complaint on me because I stopped at a Subway between 911 calls and bought a sandwich. He said I was “wasting his tax dollars”.
@ron_fournier
This isn’t a “Democratic dream”. It is holding a criminal accountable. Wealthy criminals can often afford to attempt to game the system, which Trump is doing. We don’t yet know the final outcome of all of the cases, but he’s already been convicted once, just like criminals should

If anyone counts the number of any non-alcoholic drinks I consume at dinner, then that’s not someone I want to be associated with. They have control issues that need to be worked out professionally.

Have you at all considered that having a second job isn’t a sign of economic turmoil but of choice? I’m in the 5-7% of people who have more than one job, even though I could live comfortably on just one. I keep a few part-time academic positions because I like to work and it’s a
@INDprogressives
The same people who spend thousands on their cosplay soldier outfits will turn around and cry, “I cain’t afford no gas! Let’s go Brandon!”
@thehill
Agreed. And not just Trump. All of his following. The thing they want most is to be taken seriously, but nothing they do demands that kind of respect.
It’s not an entitlement. Respect is earned.
@nickroberts317
Doomsday preppers always think they will be the ones to survive the global catastrophe. But they won’t even survive their own prepping.
@What46HasDone
Normal people tend to support genuinely good people who run for office. Andy Kim is a genuinely good guy. So is Biden. I couldn’t possibly care less about where exactly they fall on the left leaning ideological spectrum.
@Stonekettle
“Original Intent” is garbage anyway. It pretends all “founders” were of a like mind on every issue and that unified opinion is always conveniently on the side of these really bizarre modern conservatives.
@TheJimCornette
Was a paramedic for 12 years. People who think a mask is uncomfortable will really dislike when the laryngoscope blade gets shoved down their throat.
@theliamnissan
It’s funny that people who spend their week chugging horse dewormer and having explosive diarrhea in the middle of Walmart demand that we respect them and take them seriously.
@Ocasio2018
Wouldn’t subsidizing incompetence be providing tax cuts and bailouts to Wall Street after they crashed the economy 10 years ago? Executives still get huge bonuses after taking their company into bankruptcy but we’re supposed be enraged by the min wage worker? Bullshit.
@Redistrict
@CookPolitical
GOP benefitted from Trump’s ability to spike turnout with infrequent voters who would be GOP. The challenge for them is to turn out these people without Trump leading the ticket. I have doubts that they can. No Republican keeps these voters enraged the way Trump can.
@atrupar
If the convention becomes open, they’ll immediately stop competing over who can say “genocide” the most times in one sentence and immediately move to “Kamala is a cop” and stating that they refuse to vote in November because of some obscure issue they learned about five minutes
@mattyglesias
It’s amazes me how FAST inflation can hit. For example, last week I filled up for 2.95 a gallon in Kentucky. When I drove back across the river to Indiana, inflation struck and gas was 3.65 a gallon. And I’m totally sure it was inflation and not the Indiana GOP’s automatic gas
@RonFilipkowski
Making such threats could be construed as a threat of terrorism. POTUS could order Prince renditioned for “interrogation” with his newly announced powers.
@mattyglesias
Financially there’s no comparison. I was, by a multitude, better off last year than at any time under Trump. This year is already better than last year. I wish Biden was 20 years younger and the 22nd Amendment didn’t exist. That’s how much better things are.
@RadioFreeTom
The whole world doesn’t have to stop because you are disproportionately emotional over a foreign policy shift that you don’t agree with. The war is over. We lost. Accept it. Move on.

You can be sure that if a Democratic nominee wins the presidency, there will be a decision around June of next year where the SCOTUS decides that the Democratic President doesn’t have that much immunity after all. This decision was purely for the benefit of Donald Trump.

I tend to understand the police officer’s side in most cases (I was an officer at one time), but with all of LMPD’s problems, they don’t get the benefit of the doubt anymore.
@whstancil
I don’t think the anti-trans obsessives realize how truly bizarre they look to normal people. Most people don’t walk around thinking about trans people all day. In fact, we don’t think about it at all until the anti-trans people bring it up.
@jaketapper
Did the Senator forget who he works for? Elected officials work for us. We don’t work for them. When they forget this simple concept and act like this, it’s time for them to find other work.
@DrewSav
The pro-Cameron commercials are terrible. Basically all focusing on trans issues. He looks and sounds like he’s running to be chief of the genital police instead of governor.
@indystar
The border is so dangerous that all of these governors are going there to browse and take pictures?

His last point is one I’ve been making for awhile now. Maybe in the rural Trump areas the economy is in the toilet.
But these are also the areas who have said no to every effort for economic development and modernization. They don’t want “outsiders” in their towns. They don’t
