Day 3️⃣ at #AAMC2024. Had the privilege of presenting on innovations in Holistic Student Support with Dr. Hanson & Dr. Mann. Great discussions on the importance of dynamic dialogue with students & systems level reflection in navigating professionalism issues & USMLE readiness.

Presented on key tensions ID’d in the era of P/F Step 1 by the AAMC NEXT STEP 1 (NS1) project at #NRMP. Had great conversations with conference attendees on topics from how to advise after a step 1 failure to the importance of alternative metrics 📚 NS1 recs to be shared soon!

Cannot stress this enough! The roles of RN and MD are distinct but equally vital to patient care. Nurses are true patient advocates and healers. We all train as if in silos when the true goal should be to grow and learn alongside each other.
Nurses are not our subordinates but our partners in caring for patients. Their training, experience, and insights complement and strengthen ours. We are equals in this work we do.

A truly honest and impactful session on mental health and support in med training at #NRMP with @JakeGoodmanMD 🙌🏼 @ErikaRangelMD @jbullockruns. What we conceal in training is often what helps us heal. Inspiring ideas on how to improve support such as @4th_trimester initiative.
