@Wellstonist philly dsa has had major success organizing tenants unions with seniors, including getting a senior living complex owned by private equity turned into public housing. happy to connect comrades involved in that effort if that’s a useful angle

@CliffConnolly debate and criticism is great. dunking in the quote tweets on a sincere post about the successes of a different chapter for no reason is not

@CliffConnolly so you would rather use your larger social media presence to accuse comrades of “baby shit” to get a bunch of likes instead of amplifying work that you yourself are proud of. why not have 1:1 conversations with fellow members about how to make a stronger case for the org

@CliffConnolly and respectfully, i think making those suggestions before talking to local comrades about the context and via inflammatory quote tweet instead of internal communication channels and 1:1s is disorganizing behavior

@CliffConnolly sure, could word things differently. but the point of the post was to hype up recent chapter successes that are unanimously celebrated (including by people from opposing national caucuses). the end result of your post is dunking on things that comrades have worked hard on

@CliffConnolly again, if you asked philly comrades what this was about, you’d see that it is not in reference to “people disagreeing with [us].” your post is inadvertently taking the side of some longstanding philly dsa haters, and not actually making the point you think it is

@CliffConnolly sure but i think you should ask people in philly what this is in reference to before jumping to conclusions. patrick is a leader who is well respected on all sides of the major debates in the chapter. the “noise” he is referring to is within the philly left, not dsa discourse

@IolaElla i’m confused by this take. we have 5 dsa members elected to local office and they are well integrated into our issue based work, primarily labor & tenant organizing, and they come to all our chapter events. i think this is a good model and moving in the right direction
