Delighted to share our work on new immunotherapy approaches for #autoimmune diseases. Therapies that target CD28 costimulation impair Treg as well as pathogenic T cells, but it may be possible to avoid this by co-provision of IL-2. 1/6 @NatureComms

Exciting study! T cell therapy for CNS injury. CD4 cells recruited following CNS injury exhibit neuroprotective effects (IFNg-dependent). TCRs of many such T cells recognised CNS antigens (e.g. MOG). mRNA-based expression of these TCRs dampened inflammation & improved recovery.
