Lucas Star Wars, not bad Disney fan-fiction. Opinionated and fearless. Proud to be a die hard Original & Prequel Trilogy Star Wars fan. I expose Disney 💋👊
In 3 episodes of The Acolyte we've had:
- Campfires in space
- Obese Jedi
- The only white Jedi killing himself
- Space lesbians making babies with The Force
- An all female musical scene
- A stone temple built on rock burning down
- The retcon of The Chosen One prophecy
WTF 🤦🏼♀️
Wookipedia have changed the birth date of Ki Adi Mundi to cover up the blatant disregard to lore by The Acolyte.
He wasn't born until 40 years AFTER the events of The Acolyte but they put him in the show and made him a traitor.
Absolute fucking disgrace and an insult to George.
I'm hearing a lot of fans saying The Acolyte is the final straw. If you've checked out, what caused you to do it ?
For me it was The Last Jedi and specifically the scene where Luke tossed away his father's lightsaber for lols just so Ruin Johnson could subvert expectations.
The Acolyte Episode 4 summary:
- Gender pronoun disclaimer
- The Wookie Jedi dies (already lol)
- Darth Zippermouth finally shows up
- A big lightsaber battle is over with a mere Force push
And ...
- Ki Adi Mundi is rewritten as a traitor
The power of many ... bad writers
Calling out the ridiculousness of an obese Jedi isn't body shaming.
Porkins being overweight made sense, as he was a pilot and could still achieve the skills needed.
An obese Jedi makes no sense whatsoever. Just another diversity box ticked at the expense of logic.
#TheAcolyte
This is Master Nepo. She is the most powerful Jedi in The Acolyte and their leader. She's also now the first Jedi to use a purple lightsaber (sorry Mace Windu) and a lightsaber whip.
Who to cast in such a prestigious role? Leslye Headland's wife, of course.
Seven Jedi (plus an already dead Wookie Jedi killed off screen) and NONE of them could sense a Sith nearby. They only draw sabers when Darth Gimp has already appeared.
The writing in this show is an absolute joke 🤦🏼♀️
#TheAcolyte
If they actually listened to the fans - the paying customers - they might learn something.
The Sonic movie listened to the fans about the first design of Sonic. They made improvements and it went on to become a hit movie.
The writer of The Acolyte, CK Kiechel, reveals that they cut the Wookie fight/death scene due to "budget and story reasons"
$180m per episode in a show full of exposition and repetition. You've got to be fucking kidding me.
"Excited to have a non binary lead and an Asian actor"
What about the story? The characters? The plot? The writing? The world building? Why fixate on gender and race ???
It's all about checking diversity boxes for these soulless shills
The first two episodes of
@starwars
#TheAcolyte
are strong.
Intriguing premise, looks great and incredible casting - excited to have a non-binary lead, as well as an Asian actor, among the core characters (
#representationmatters
).
Can't wait until it drops on
@DisneyPlusUK
.
Disney soy boys calling out the most minor of flaws in a 40 year old movie versus their adoration for the worst shit ever seen on a TV screen
#TheAcolyte
What's the point in movie critics anymore? We all know they are shit scared to be actually critical and honest.
The discrepancy between the critics' and audience score is huge.
Leslye Headland somehow found a bigger way to shit on George's creation than Ruin Johnson. Anakin's story is now no longer special or relevant. Space lesbian witches can use the Force to conjur babies at will. Episode 3 of The Acolyte is indefensible. Star Wars is truly dead.
Shills calling me a "Toxic Star Wars Fan".
Mega corp Disney took a beloved, succesful 40 year franchise and ripped the soul from it, then attacked the loyal fans for disagreeing with their depraved agenda-driven "vision".
If you shill for that, YOU'RE THE TOXIC ONE.
After buying Star Wars, Disney immediately decanonised the EU which had kept the franchise going for many years.
Now they're trying to completely eradicate it.
Keep your physical copies, and treasure them.
Disney is toxic.
When Disney bought Star Wars and started work on a new movie, the first bullet point on the ideas board should have been to bring the original crew together.
I'll never understand - or forgive - how they utterly fucked this.
It just looks so stupid and ridiculous. The hair is weird, the clothes are daft and the face is all kinds of wrong. It doesn't belong in Star Wars at all. And the wookie looks shit too.
If you liked The Rise of Skywalker, you'll love The Acolyte.
Yes, it's that bad. Despite being set over a hundred years earlier, it somehow chooses to reference that movie over any other. This is a worse troll job than The Last Jedi.
The Acolyte Ep 5:
The Jedi are pathetic and die easily.
Mass murder to mask bad writing.
No character development, so no emotion when one dies.
"Master" Sol can't even sense when one twin is pretending to be the other.
Mae's decision to turn herself in forgotten.
Awful editing.
I thought the first two episodes of The Acolyte were solid. Good, not spectacular, but enough to get my attention and keep me watching.
I simply cannot fathom this audience response. There's simply nothing in the show itself (in my opinion) that merits this level of hate.
"No one hates Star Wars more than Star Wars fans"
I see this a lot in comment sections.
No one else has had their beloved 47 year old franchise totally shit on and destroyed by a huge corporate who blames the fans for its demise. If you loved original Star Wars, you'd care too.
You can come back and dictate to us all when you've been a fan for 30+ years and the thing you love gets systematically destroyed.
No, we won't just walk away silently.
If you hate Star Wars so much, why not just stop watching it? Why be so nasty to people who do still like it? Go put your time and energy into something you love instead. I promise you will be happier.
The opening weekend box office for The Dial of Destiny came in at a disappointing $60m. It likely won't even break even on its $350m budget.
So it's confirmed: Kathy Kennedy has overseen the destruction of all 3 major Lucasfilm franchises: Star Wars, Willow and Indiana Jones.
One of the worst written, least developed main characters in recent movie history and this dipshit thinks the criticism is all because she's female 🤦🏼♀️
Time to finally give this a go and find out what actually happened after Return of the Jedi.
Disney fans can have their fan-fiction, I'll stick to Lucas approved talented writing which is true to his work.
Remember how George banned zips? Such attention to detail to ensure an otherworldly feel.
When I say Disney Star Wars is a joke, it's because it's a joke.
Has she even seen Star Wars???
- Lando is one of my all time favourite characters.
- Windu was my favourite character from the Prequels.
- Finn had the most potential in the Sequels.
Maybe learn to act instead of demanding everyone should like u based on your skin colour.
Disney hate the Jedi. There's a concerted effort to make them look weak, pathetic and cowardly.
I have no idea how anyone who calls themselves a Star Wars fan can defend this.
#theacolyte
SHOCKING: The Ukrainian actor who played Darth Vader in
#ObiWan
was treated so badly by Disney that he walked away and contemplated committing suicide.
Imagine supporting a billion dollar company like this.
Sol is the only half decent thing about The Acolyte. Despite the awful writing and direction, the actor delivers. Sadly, they made his character a useless idiot who fails to sense danger, or be able to tell one sister from the other.
Disney hate the Jedi.
I love prequel memes, because I can love the movies despite their imperfections.
Sequel apologists lose their shit over the slightest criticism. Why is that?
I made the mistake of watching The Boys season 4. I struggled through 3 episodes before giving up.
Wow, that show really did fall of a cliff. It used to be groundbreaking. Now it's unwatchable.
Krennic will appear in Andor Season 2. I loved Rogue One, and especially Krennic as a villain, and Andor S1 was pretty decent.
It's not hard: Hire good writers, directors and actors. Tell a good story, with compelling characters.
We want good storytelling, not woke politics.
Really well done episode of
#TheAcolyte
tonight! Not sure about some of the lore decisions made (hoping for explanations), but the acting, and directing were as good as the first two episodes, while the editing was markedly (and thankfully) better! This show has been good so far!
