@IBCA_UK Surely you will have the documents for people who are registered with existing schemes. Those who are applying for interim are having to jump through hoops without the help of a "dedicated claim manager" to obtain documents required for estates many years after the death.

@msport21 @IBCA_CEO_UK @NickTorfaen I've had to help a 90 yr old very close family friend complete an estate claim for her son who died at 22, over 30 years ago. She was totally overwhelmed looking at the forms and what was needed. This isn't making claiming easy, luckily she has me, not everyone has someone!

We're learning as we go" is clearly the new "working at pace". These delays and comments are frustrating a community who've already suffered too much for too long. β€οΈππ€
We know that many of you want to know when youβll be paid and how much youβll get. Weβre learning as we go, and weβre making sure weβre getting our compensation scheme right for each eligible person. In 2025, weβll steadily increase the number of people who can make their claim. We aim to have opened the scheme to around 250 people to make claims by early next year. @IBCA_CEO_UK With respect, for those registered with existing schemes you should have the correct information. I've been told you have the files from Skipton/Mcfarlane and can access them digitally, so why are people being asked for registration numbers for these schemes to speed things up?

@IBCA_UK Only cause he had to write to you first following concerns raised by the community. Don't try and spin this into something positive.

Headline grabbing and diverting away the fact . 20 were invited in the first round. 25 you're about to in the second. Yet how many people are you expecting to handle claims from? Thats right, you dont know as there is no record anywhere. These are a mere drop in a very big ocean.
Weβve made the very first compensation offers and are nowΒ starting to make the first compensation payments too. This will help us design and deliver a compensation service for everyone - we are now reaching out to more people to start their claims. READ our latest community update to find out more β¬οΈ

@FredgoldMartin @msport21 @bloodinquiry @IBCA_UK @NickTorfaen @HaemoSocUK_PI @CampaignTB @Factor8Campaign @cazjwheeler I believe this is the exact reason Sir Brian didn't formally close the inquiry. He knew the battle was won, but not the war. Personally, I hope he does reopen it, haul them before him to feel the weight of his scrutiny & displeasure We and our lost loved ones deserve answers.

@IBCA_UK Yes those estates can apply but the goalposts keep shifting for estates not recognised as "guidance" from the Cabinet Office is being taken as gospel. You need to do better, sorry I mean you MUST do better. Maybe make it a 2025 resolution.
