@ExtravertedFace @barbarousep @JaimieKrems We pub'd something along similar lines in 2011 ("similar lines" meaning humour and attraction). Sharing simply out of interest

@AthenaAktipis I discussed the following two old classics with a grad student this year: (1) Axelrod's "The Evolution of Cooperation" (1984), and (2) Kropotkin's "Mutual Aid" (first pub'd in 1903 I think).

@jimcoan In an UG course at Waterloo we read "House of Cards" (still have it in my office) as well as Lykken's "What's Wrong With Psychology Anyway" paper. My early radicalization into a "reformer" I suppose.

@kaidi_wu I was at the SESP conference awards ceremony where Diederik Stapel won a career trajectory award. In the introductory speech it was mentioned with glee/admiration/near disbelief that he always had ~12 papers in press at any time. Turns out total disbelief was required.

@peder_isager @lakens Reminds me of Bronowski (1959): "...we look for new facts, we...[group] them under concepts, and we judge the concepts by testing whether their implications turn out to be true to other new facts. This procedure is meaningless…if we do not care what is true and what is false."

@minzlicht Well, when study is completed you can probably get at least 2k / month rent for it in TO. Win/win.
