I was pleasantly surprised this morning to see the Congressman Larson story appear in some of the local CT networks (WTNH, WFSB, FOX61) as well as some of the national networks (AP, MSN and NBC). Does this mean that they have finally come to their senses and must change to survive? Stranger things have happened.
Is anyone really surprised that the CT MSM news (WFSB, WVIT, WTNH, WTIC, Hartford Courant) appears to be giving Congressman Larson a pass? The media is fake news all the time. Ignoring this little "incident" undermines the trust of the people by hiding important information. Shameful display of favoritism. @WFSBnews

Media is our protection against those in power, those who abuse their position for personal gain. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Not one person came to the aid of Congressman Larson. The episode could have been much worse. One would think that the people of Connecticut should be made aware of what happened. Have any of the local outlets reported on this incidence?

I think I speak for many in my generation when I say that hopefully we can get closure on this horrible tragedy. I was 10 years old when RFK was assassinated. To say that this was one of the worst moments in our history as a nation is an understatement. Many lives were forever altered that day many were forever ruined. There have been volumes of books, thousands of news articles, dozens of movies, 2 government commissions, FBI and CIA investigations all devoted to this moment in time. Please bring this to a close so we may move on with our lives.

@Shadowtails54 I think there are more hostages alive but I believe there are many who, sadly have passed away in captivity. When we find out the truth it will be upsetting and cause even more violence. Pray for peace.

All Illhan has to do is deny the accusation. If she is truly innocent, I would recommend that she also demand an immediate retraction or face a defamation lawsuit from the many news outlets publishing the accusation. If they don't comply then follow through. Any halfway decent lawyer would be happy to take the case.

The accusation that Ilhan married her brother has been published in several news media outlets. Since she hasn't responded, we are left to assume that there's some accuracy to the story. An innocent person, especially one who is currently in congress, would warn that publication is in error and demand an immediate retraction. So far we are hearing nothing but crickets. I personally hope that story is false, because I believe that the FBI would have vetted this story before Illhan ran for office.
