Just told by an NHS dentist I must pay £750 to repair a veneer on a tooth. There is no NHS option because “it was originally done privately”. Only it wasn’t. It was an NHS dentist that did it and I don’t remember there being any alternative. Anyone else had this problem? How can people afford these costs?

@JohnnyBurns1 @mlchealth @healthdpt There are so many good examples of what works really well - Clinical Investigation Units for rule out/in DVT etc etc that all take pressure of ED attendance & urgent bed occupancy but they’re only being implemented in bitty form by motivated individuals here and there. Crazy.

How about @mikenesbittni & co scrap the mgmt top heavy delivery of healthcare in NI across so many trusts?!There’s absolutely no need! Look at NHS Scotland - nearest neighbour with similar geography, topography & pop makeup: 14 health boards for 5.4m people: for 1.8m NI has SIX!
