Opioids have a legitimate place in pain treatment. If you doubt that, just read this thread. As the opioid settlements wrap up, it is critical to remember that stopping doctors from prescribing and forcing patients off their meds will not solve the #opioidcrisis.

In light of the reviewer shortage, I think that editors would be shocked at how much more enthusiastic folks would be to review if they didnā€™t have to navigate the hellscape that is Manuscript Central.
