Of course they did. I tell every opposing counsel we’re ready for trial and send a complaint that’s ready to go or a full-throated explanation of why a plaintiff’s claims have no merit. That doesn’t mean my clients won’t make a deal. Look at the launch of LIV, they only had a few venues lined up and were filling the field a week or two before Centurion Club. I firmly believe Jay forced LIV to launch and they built that plane on the runway.
