I saw this in the 90’s as a teenager. Us girls had to be accompanied by large groups of our male peers so that the “refugees” from Kosovo didn’t approach us and try to take advantage. It’s only got worse since. We have no go areas in the south east.

I was out for dinner the other day, the waitress referred to my son as she, he has shoulder length curly hair, huge brown eyes and long curly eyelashes. He’s very pretty but clearly a boy.

My dad “transitioned” when I was 6, that was in the late 80’s.
Being a teenager with a trans parent in the 90’s was horrific at times.
He was pretty absent but when he wasn’t and my peers found out, it was pretty awful. The guilt was crushing.
