Wei Wuxian is a fox spirit. Fox Spirits are born in fox form and learn to shift between animal, half-human and human. Wei Wuxian however, lost his parents at a young age and never learned this skill.
Aka: WWX becomes human after an incident and doesn't know what to do.

I've been thinking about this idea but roles reversed with WWX being the dragon or even a fox that bonds with LWJ as a spirit animal. Human-WWX, unable to talk, doing silly things to LWJ sounds like such a fun idea.
