Joined May 2011
Our new year’s resolution is to continue to advocate for social and economic liberty on principle, popular or unpopular, and give voters the benefit of strong libertarian candidates for Parliament. If yours is similar, let’s work together. 🔗 #cdnpoli

@JParkYYC What a great idea. We could also switch it up and play ‘pick the central banker’s pocket’ rather than the usual state of affairs where he picks ours.

@nostroborous @PierrePoilievre If you don’t think property rights are libertarian, we’re sorry to say you don’t understand what libertarianism is. We don’t care how much you want to regulate someone else’s property. If it’s their land, it’s their decision.

@nostroborous @PierrePoilievre However ‘hard’ capitalism might be, it’s preferable to the socialist alternative in which, ultimately, all property is owned by the government.

@Truth68201238 @PierrePoilievre We believe in defending the country; we just don’t believe part of that defence is stealing land and other property from its citizens.

@Truth68201238 @PierrePoilievre Unless and until we can privatize it, or much of it, absolutely. That said, as libertarians, we’re not interested in making excuses to sacrifice individual rights for so-called common goods even if the spectre of national security is invoked.

@Truth68201238 @PierrePoilievre It depends what you mean by ‘facilitate’ and ‘expedite’ because certainly not to the point of socializing (or, to use the government term, expropriating) private property.

@govt_corrupt By all means, audit the government, but there’s so much fat that we can’t wait for the audit. We have to start cutting immediately.

@DanielJHannan Progressivism is shrinking the society and growing the government at its expense.

@liberal_party Canada is an idea. It doesn’t choose anything. We have to recognize the right of individual Canadians to live their own lives and choose their own destinies provided no one else is harmed. In other words, we have to consign the nanny state to the dumpster of history.
