Well now that they let me in the building, I'm excited to announce I'm joining the team at
@News_8
as their newest Meteorologist! I'm beyond excited to be back in New York and right near Lake Ontario. I'll see you on air real soon!

I am beyond excited to announce I have joined the
@Stormtracker59
Weather Team at
@WVNS59News
as the Morning Meteorologist for 59 News at 5am, 6am and 12pm! For right now I am doing some training alongside
@HeidiMooreWX
, but I'll see you in the mornings real soon!
After an amazing two years in southern West Virginia my time here is coming to a close. My last day at
@WVNS59News
is tomorrow, so I really hope you can join me one last time alongside
@LRossTV
and
@ClaudiaSessaTV
on 59News at 5/6am, before I give my final sign off at Noon.
Without a doubt the most active day ever so far for Tornado Warnings being issued by
@NWSBUFFALO
with 18 today.
Reminder our severe risk is not fully over with yet either.

, I have grown immensely in the past 2 years. The people I have to thank for this far exceeds 280 characters so please forgive me. Today I accepted the position of Chief Meteorologist at WTOP-10, I can't express how excited and grateful I am!
It's been a ride and I wouldn't have wanted to do it anywhere else!
@sunyoswego
,
@wtop10
, and
@stormteam10wtop
helped me be the best I could be. Thank you for 3 years of great memories, learning, and growth.
It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our 2019-2020 Cheif Meteorologist
@LiamHealyWX
. Your Storm Team 10 and
@wtop10
family miss you and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours.
So you want to be a meteorologist? Lets cover the basics of the basics from the first 4 weeks of Synoptic (best part is I'm not done writing notes yet) 😂

Today marks ONE YEAR in Rochester and at
@News_8
, it has been amazing to move back to the region after being down in West Virginia.
I'm so grateful to be able to forecast the weather and share fun bits of information about the world around us to everyone who tunes in.
My diploma finally came! To my house in New York...so here’s my mom posing with my diploma instead of me!
Have I ever mentioned that my mom is the best and is always willing to participate in ridiculous things I ask her to do?

#Ilovemymom
My heart is filled with joy, I woke up to the amazing news that I'm an uncle for the first time.
Mom, dad, and little Nora are all doing well and getting to know each other this morning. I can't wait to meet her over Easter 💚🤍
Yes that's right, today was my first day at
@SPECNewsCNY
as a part time On-Air meteorologist. Extremely grateful for this opportunity, and can't wait to give you your

Hot subs from Wegmans are a scam. Charge me a 1.50 more for what's ultimately a sandwich that has easily 1/3 less meat/internal sandwich components in it.
I just want to feel full for less than $10.
When I was younger I worked in a grocery store I used to ask what the heck kind of people would go out to the grocery store in this weather?
I've recently found out that it's me I am people.
Passed all 19 of my credits in the first half of Senior year. Now onto a cruise of a final semester in college with 12 credits 😎. Then I just need to graduate 🍾.

How many meteorologists feel like when the snow starts to fall for the first time...
Remember we just forecast the weather, we don't control it.

I'm tired this morning, but to see the Aurora literally pulsate as the solar storm continued to increase in intensity last night was a once in a lifetime experience. Check out some lightly edited photos of what I saw last night. With the naked eye I mostly only saw the greens.
Since I put this everywhere but Twitter... I adopted a cat today! She doesn't have a name just yet, I also wasn't able to take her home today either. She has to get spayed before the shelter will release her but she'll be with me by the end of the month.
#AdoptDontShop
You ever just get news that turns around a bad day/week? I just did, and I hope you do too!
The animal shelter called and said I could come to get my cat today. Nearly 3 weeks earlier than previously thought! Her name is Niamh (NEE-v) and I would die for her.

Successful adventure into
#letchworth
today to see some sights. Crazy to think after going to SUNY Oswego for 3 years and then living in Rochester for almost 5 months. This is the first time I've ever been.

What a way to head into the unofficial end of the summer by finishing off the last few miles of my
#CanalwayChallenge
.
The final total was 186.66 miles. I made it as far west as Albion and as far east as Lyons in my travels along the canal. Here's to many more miles!
It's noon here in West Virginia, and that means it's officially been 2 months of me pointing at a green wall every day on your tvs, phones and computers! It's crazy to believe how fast time has flown these past 2 months!

Im excited to introduce the newest member of the WROC Weather Team,
@LiamHealyWX
. Liam is an Oswego grad and has been working at our sister station in West Virginia. He’s a graphics whiz and smart cookie. We’re so very excited to welcome him back to WNY!
3 years and 2 days separate these pictures. Crazy to think it's been that long since I got my start on
@WVNS59News
at Noon on Apr. 17, 2020. It feels and looks like a lifetime ago. So grateful to be here
@News_8
now continuing my journey. Here's to many more years!

I've got Friday off. The
@OswegoMHockey
team is playing their first real game since I left
@sunyoswego
in March of 2020 on Friday. I need someone to convince me not to drive 9.5 hours there.

Finally made the beard headshot official after having it for most of this year 😅
It'll be nice to have my open before the weather actually look like me!
SOMEONE TURNS ONE TODAY!
My little niece who is not so little (relatively) is turning one today. I can't believe it's been a year of this little nugget bringing joy to my family. I'm very lucky that I get to see her this weekend to celebrate with her.
I want to wish a great first day of classes to the students at my alma mater
@sunyoswego
! Here's to a safe, happy, and healthy year to everyone. Remember be mindful and please
#wearamask
It has been an honor, for the past 3 years I have gotten to become part of a family. For the last 2 years I got to lead this family. Tonight was my last game as that leader. (1/2)
A very keen sense of style in the
@News_8
studio tonight as
@AJFeldmanTV
and I managed to pick out the same tie to wear today. I've never met anyone that had this tie too 😂
Only managed to find time to build the ISS Lego set this weekend. Took a solid 3 hours of straight work. But 864 pieces and some of my sanity later. It's done.

That's what we did in West Virginia, at least 1-2 days before Ida's remnants made their way in
@WVGovernor
issued a State of Emergency. Granted WV is a very flood prone state. When heavy rain is in the forecast we mobilize.
It's Leif Erikson Day! The holiday most of us know about because of SpongeBob.

Today we remember what it means to be an American something I hope we never forget. Let's all remember how we came together as a country and a planet after these heinous attacks. I will never forget the events of that day. I hope you don't either.

Our big thing in our family is mugs, we had a ridiculous amount of them in our house growing up. So now pretty much everytime we have to give a gift to each other it's a mug. Here's a good one I got this year from my sister.

Wildfire smoke is set to be at it's most prevalent so far this week. This time its from new wildfires burning in Quebec. Those with respiratory issues/sensitivity to pollution need to be careful as this will impact air quality more than the other times we saw smoke.

The old saying goes, "Red sky in the morn, sailor be warn"...
Believe it or not there is some scientific backing to that old saying.
This brilliant sunrise from Cobbs Hill Park from
@News_8
's own Jim Tortora, is thanks in part to an increasing amount of moisture in the air.
So what changes in the next 48 hours?
1. As the low pressure to our east shifts and expands the flow of smoke shifts further west away from our region. We'll get some relief from our poor air quality at least for now, there's no guarantee it goes away for good until the (1/2)
