After many years of campaigning from patients with #PIDs and physicians in the field, Spanish MoH has just announced the inclusion of SCID in the panel of diseases to screen newborns across Spain. Congrats on this important step @AEDIP_ASL !
Aprobamos nuevos cribados neonatales en la Comisión de Salud Pública: Acidemia isovalérica, inmunodeficiencia combinada grave, atrofia muscular espinal y aciduria 3-hidroxi-3-metilglutárica. La cartera común pasa de incluir 7 a 23 enfermedades en un año. Y seguiremos ampliando.
