There's a saying that perseverance pays off and last Sunday it certainly did. 7 visits and some 25+ hours sat freezing cold waiting for Short-eared owls to come out of their roost of which most were pretty pointless photo wise. All made totally worthwhile just before sunset!

@RobinsonBirding From the alders look left and you will see a clump of bushes to your left walk past them and look over the brambles. The trap has two yellow ish uprights either side of it. Hope this helps
