To move from one uniform to the other was the proudest day of my life. I joined the #ThinBlueLine family at 13 and am still here at 22. Looking forward to more years to come. (Admittedly my hands shouldn’t be in my vest. Oops lol)

If only we a police officers could believe this. The PM and other politicians will not be by your side when you stop a person with a weapon, pull over a car with drugs, come face to face with abusive protestors. And they will definitely not be by your side in DPS or IOPC hearings

We should be recommending people from all ethnicities to join the Met police and any other police service. If we want change we need to be part of that change. Creating and promoting a ‘us vs them’ mentality is not going to assist with confidence or trust (2).

A knife-wielding man has been jailed after a group of off-duty officers rushed to intervene as he attacked another man in #Southwark. Shocking footage demonstrates "the heroism shown by these officers is nothing short of exceptional" as they separate the attacker from the victim.

Maybe the reason overtime pay has increase is because of the diminishing numbers of police officers wanting to do this job. This leads to overworked police officers having to work more. We would like to go home on time but sometimes this can’t happen (1/2).
Despite solving a lower proportion of crime than ever before police sergeants are earning up to 150% extra in overtime pay each year!. Like us, taxpayers will be wondering what this expensive police overtime is actually delivering.
