Competitions are the purpose for all the hard work in training over the year.
To fixate on championships in a singular manner means fans can and will be denied a chance to see their favourite athletes at other events. That creates a huge problem for the sport.

The World Athletics Ranking was supposed to avoid cheating with performances in small national meets… It did create other way of “cheating” but old habits remain.
NGR should never get their 4x4 performance from yesterday get validated!
