Joseph Smith had a vision of The Father and the Son. He was called of God to restore Christ’s church on the earth. John the Baptist gave the authority of the priesthood of Aaron to Joseph Smith by the laying on of hands. Peter, James and John conferred the higher priesthood upon Joseph in the same manner. Jesus Christ himself appeared to Joseph in the Kirtland Temple to accept that Temple. Moses, Elias and Elijah appeared in that same temple to confer the keys of this dispensation, of the gathering of Israel and the dispensation of the gospel to Joseph. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not merely “another church.” It is THE one true church founded by Christ restored once more upon the earth and Joseph Smith was the prophet called of God to first lead the restored church in this dispensation. He who hath ears to hear, let him hear. He who hath eyes to see, let him see.
