Look at our latest adorable recruit 🥰
TPD Harry arrived with us today and certainly isn’t shy or nervous.
Within minutes of landing he was pottering around like he owned the place 😂
Harry we think you are going to be a star
A sad day as we say goodnight to legendary PD Narvik who served Lancs 2008-2013. His hobbies included demolishing burglars, creating Facebook scandals and trying to turn the dog van on its side. Famous for dying on duty to be revived by CPR then continue his shift. Rest easy pal.
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE- Tonight whilst dealing with a report of a house party, in Whitworth. One of our vehicles carrying two police dogs inside was bricked, showering the dogs with glass! Thankfully both dogs are uninjured however it took a response vehicle off the road

As you are probably aware our handlers and dogs have been supporting Merseyside this week

We have been gifted food, sweets, drinks and even our dogs have received thank you gifts.

TPD Harry has been making himself at home around HQ.
This confident cheeky chappie is certainly winning the hearts of everyone he meets 🥰
Environmental exposure is crucial at this young age and he takes everything in his stride.
Pretty confident he is going to be a belter 😃

For 6 years he has served Lancashire and has been a formidable dog. He will retire to his handler where he will be treat like royalty. He may pop back now and then to keep you up to date with his antics
We found a baddie but he started to run away. I said “Mum let me out I’ll stop him”. I was barking as loud as I could. Mum opened the boot and told him to stop or she’d let me go. “Let me go Mum” I said. I was just about to go but the baddie stopped!
By PD Kato age 4

Our latest addition to the department is PD Ebony.
She has licenced today (thanks Cumbria for coming down) with her handler after completing her 13 week training course. Isn’t she a beauty? I wouldn’t want her detaining me though 😃
READY, STEAD,Y, GO
Introducing TPD Oakley, an 8 week old Cocker Spaniel . He will live with one of our dog handlers until he is old enough to start his training .
He was donated to us by Grace and Henry Hunter from Tarleton, and we would like to thank them for their generosity.
Sadly injury has brought forward PD Meg’s retirement. She was a brilliant member of the team with the highlight of her career being a £500,000 haul of cocaine found hidden in a car last year. She’s delighted to be retiring with her old partner in crime RPD Sharkie.
We are saddened to tell you that search dog Flint crossed over 🌈 bridge yesterday.

Around 5.15am today we were searching for a missing person in a field off Higher Walton Road.
During the search a police dog became aggressive, biting its police dog handler causing serious injuries.
Today was the final shift for PD Nouchka before her well deserved retirement. She has been an amazing servant of the Lancashire police and she will be missed by us all. An absolute diamond of a police dog

@NPASBarton
were on their way. Kato picks up a track through the field across the A6 into more fields. No heat source detected. Kato tracked straight to them
This driver should consider himself lucky to be alive after failing to stop & crashing. Lucky to climb out unharmed he pushed his luck one last time by running off only to realised his luck had run out as he saw PD Viper coming for him. Only ends one way! 🤦🏼 Arrested for 🍺 🚗
Whilst trying to seize this vehicle

Hot on his heels is Blitz who makes light work of detaining him
Decamp from stolen 🚗 PD Apol tracked over farm fields gravel tracks through waist high streams and river for just over 2 miles and locted the male soaked tired hiding in the bushes. We wouldn't have got him without superb containment put on by colleagues, massive thanks from us
PD Tommy was on his way home from work when lead holder saw a stolen motorbike. Suspects dumped the bike and wisely gave up on seeing Tommy.
Last night following a decamp Tommys perseverance paid off when he located the driver hiding under a 🚗.
Even the 🚁 couldn’t find him
Having come across a recently crashed car with no occupants inside it was ‘out with the snout’ who picked up the drivers track immediately. We were closing in on the driver who ran in to

How are you all keeping your pooches cool in this flag cracking weather? We were lucky enough to receive cooling coats from
@MA_PurplePoppy
which help immensely. A nice dip in the river is worth the ‘wet dog’ smell in the van though. I was so tempted to have a dip myself 😃
PD Frank has had a great start to the shift, assisting Preston with a high risk missing person. Frank has picked up a track, through fields straight to the male, who was walking on the motorway. Mum has guided patrols in from a safe distance. Male is getting the help he needs.
This fabulous snout located a burglars hidden loot stashed in bushes. A search of the bag revealed lots of high value jewellery that had been recently stolen during a burglary.
Very happy to reunite it with its rightful owner

We were inundated with offers of a retirement home for Zorro following his diagnosis of cruciate ligament damage so thank you all of you.
Zorro has found his perfect home in Knutsford and has settled in already. Paws up big lad. You deserve it ☺️
He may be the ‘pensioner’ of the department but that didn’t stop PD Kato when he was called into action following a decamp. Tracking to a paddock of 🐎 we decided we’d go the long way round, picked up the track again, straight to the hiding place of our runner
#OldButNotOut
