Tonight a report was received of youths throwing bottles and waste food at a house in the Bacup area.Those responsible were tracked down. The two youths involved purchased flowers for the occupant of the house and gave a face to face apology hopefully time to grow up!.

Please can we ask people to stay off the East Lancashire Railway lines when out exercising. The entire line is still in use to keep it maintained and people trespassing on the line could find themselves in serious danger as well as being prosecuted.

Vehicle was initially seen on Bacup Road, Waterfoot travelling at significant speed in an anti-social manner. Vehicle was found in the Bacup area and recovered using powers under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act.

Parking your car on yellow lines on Bank Street may draw unnecessary attention to your vehicle, and when an officer checks the vehicles details and finds no valid insurance they will seize the vehicle.

Three men have been arrested this afternoon on Grane Road Haslingden on suspicion of theft of a vehicle, possession of drugs and dangerous driving. This is linked to the earlier incident in Haslingden where a police car was rammed. Thanks to the public who assisted officers.

Over the weekend officers from Rossendale Police have located and dismantled a substantial cannabis production on Newchurch Road near to New Line. In all 2698 plants have been removed from the premises. An investigation is underway and so far five males have been arrested.

Today a stolen vehicle has come across the border into Rossendale. Officers have located and pursued the vehicle which has come to a halt following a collision. A 36 year old male has been arrested on suspicion of dwelling burglary, theft of a vehicle and dangerous driving.

Latest collection from the knife bin at Waterfoot Police Station. It's the busiest bin in the county. In the main they are kitchen knives left by people having a clear out. However every unwanted knife in our bin is one less lying around which could end up in the wrong hands.

Following our appeal around distraction offences in Loveclough whereby the offender had claimed to be collecting for a charity in aid of the deaf. This weekend we have arrested and charged a 15 year old female in relation to these offences. She will appear at court today.

This afternoon we have dismantled another cannabis grow at a premises on Bacup Road Waterfoot. The premises had around 200 plants and here are some of the weapons we found. Their intended use is up for debate but it was clear they hadn't been used for pruning plants

Yesterday we ran an operation with GMP to target off road bikes inbetween Whitworth and Edenfield. We messaged local residents on 'In The Know' who replied where the bikes were and the vans used . In all we seized three motorbikes, two quads and a van.
