The huge eye is most likely ref to Ena who has obvious Christian imagery (especially like Mother Mary). Ena was a giant eye that sung hymns and controlled civilisations. It was betrayed by Aha and absorbed by Xipe, likely also why Sunday is so hostile to Sparkle.

I think WuWa made the correct decision to focus on gameplay rather than lore because Hoyo go very hard in that department but Genshin especially lacks in combat challenge, so both games can coexist with different purposes.

It seems that pairs of objects have telepathic connections with each other. Though the unnamed only had one bracer in his possession, his fingertips could still faintly feel the temperature from the other.
