🤓 A couple of weeks ago, our master thesis students submitted their manuscript and will defend it soon for a jury. Another important milestone that will be taken before graduation. 👨‍🎓🤞 Good luck to all our students with their master's thesis defense and exams!

📣 In March 2024, the ICON project (TargetDigest) started at LFT! 💡 This is a collaboration between several industrial and academic partners focusing on developing food (supplements) for target groups such as people who underwent bariatric surgery. Stay tuned for updates!

👩‍🔬PhD life is not only about doing experiments and writing publications!💭Last week, Ankita Mukherjee & Daphne Michels gave very insightful presentations about enzymatic crosslinking of pea protein and choosing the right digestion experiment (in vitro versus in vivo, or both)🔎

🧼🧹We are finishing the busy experimental part of the academic year with a big lab #cleaning! 👏 Thank you to our amazing #team for making this effort to create again a #spotless #lab, THE starting point of reliable and accurate #research data. 🧪🔬

In February, Wenbo Ren joined LFT for an introduction to our in vitro #digestion platform.🧪She is continuing the experiments at her home university in Copenhagen. Wenbo aims to understand how #pea protein #gel designs impact #proteolysis.🌱Looking forward to the next results!

Our colleagues @SVerkempinck , @DorineDuijsens and Esther Staes had a blast at Ekoli vzw’s #Questival, giving a creative #workshop for children to discover, experiment and investigate together!🥕They extracted the #natural #colorants from vegetables and #decorated cookies!🌈
