It is with great sadness that we have been notified of the death of former Maths teacher Richard Furlong Brown who passed away suddenly. He joined LRGS in 1980 & during his tenure at school Richard also held the position of Governor, President of the OL Club, & boarding master.

Reece Holt had a big impact on Lancaster Royal Grammar School. He was the most positive of pupils, and the bravest. As we mark his death, we will also celebrate his bright young life.

Sixth Former William has responded to the NHS call for volunteers and is now working as a health assistant. This allows for relief of the full time employees and Will covers their weekend shifts on a needs led basis.

We have been notified of the very sad news that John Fidler has passed away.
John gave 51 years of service to LRGS, during which he was Head of History, Contingent Commander of the CCF and Admissions Tutor.

Pupils & staff attempted to climb the equivalent height of Everest by running laps of the Aston Memorial steps for Lenten Charities. Efforts ranged from a few ascents to a hundred! We were aiming for 557 reps, which we managed to exceed by reaching 1050. Well done to all involved
