American S&C has become the perpetual pursuit of directionless force and power production with little regard for any other qualities. It’s short-sighted and self-serving and will ultimately be extraordinarily detrimental to the long term development of athletes at every level. The same people who rant about early specialization are creating the same problems they purport to solve just through different means. And the worst part is that no one fucking sees it.
