To add to this. From the 2022 flag, the captain is gone, the leading goalkicker is gone, the Norm Smith Medallist is gone, one of the two best and fairests didn’t play.
The Cats have no right to still be in the window. A disappointing result, but the club is amazing.
Great for the game and I reckon these two teams are the best on paper.
Shattered that the Hawkins journey is over.
So much to like about the young Cats. If you’d told me after ‘22 that they’d be two kicks off a GF in ‘24 with 1/3 of a new team I wouldn’t have believed it.

I think it’s the timing - it’s short enough that there’s still players from 2007, but long enough that everyone’s lives have changed in immeasurable ways.
