Is Johan Bakayoko the PERFECT Winger for Liverpool?🤔🔴
Check out our latest video for an analysis on Johan Bakayoko and how he could fit into Arne Slot’s plans for

!
Huge thank you to

for joining us to provide the analysis!
Just finished filming with
@LFCTransferRoom
on their ‘Expert Analysis’ series on YouTube.
The episode was all about PSV’s Johan Bakayoko, with the merseyside club linked to him in recent weeks.
GUGLIELMO VICARIO:
Aged 32, Vicario will have continued his reputation as a fan favourite and follow in the footsteps of Spurs legend Hugo Lloris.
Despite the fans already knowing this, he will have established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.🕷️
In February Bergvall put pen to paper to become one of Spurs first signings for the upcoming season.
The Swedish star signed on a 5-year deal for a reported £8.5m + add-ons (
@FabrizioRomano
)
Labelled as one of Sweden's best talents since Zlatan, what will Bergvall offer Spurs?
MICKY VAN DE VEN:
Micky will become a star in the footballing world. Aged 28 he will be coming into his prime years, a scary thought for any attacker facing him.
He will receive attention from clubs abroad, but his connection to the fanbase will see him become a one-club man.
CRISTIAN ROMERO:
Unfortunately I believe Real Madrid will come knocking with an offer too good for Romero to turn down.
Like Bale & Modric before him, he will become one of footballs most successful players, as well as being regarded as the best defender in the world. 🧱
HEUNG-MIN SON:
A legend of the club who decided it was time to retire in his mid-30's.
He continued to captain the side before retirement, but his love for the club couldn't keep him away from Spurs, as he would become an ambassador for the club.
Mr. Tottenham Hotspur. 🤍
@Re_Spawn81
I remember watching this and not even celebrating but just being in shock at how perfect the goal was. The touch from Kane followed by that pass and finish was immense.
Firstly it goes without saying his on the ball ability is out of this world, especially seeing as he's just 18 years old. 🌟
🔮Equipped with bundles of flair and trickery, he's able to beat his man and get his team going forward.
Per game, Bergvall averages 2 successful dribbles, ranking him in the top 14% of players who play the same position within the Allsvenskan.
On top of this he has a dribble success rate of just over 65% which also ranks him within the top 12%.
PEDRO PORRO:
Porro will join Udogie as one of the first names on the team sheet across the next 5 years. He might not perhaps perform to the heights of Udogie but will still be a solid option at right-back.
Aged 30, the club will want to look for a successor for the future.
@mattpage2000
Difference is he’s had to work his way out of Australia and through Asia before getting to the UK. Certain managers get more opportunities by who they know (Arteta with Pep) and that’s not a bad thing at all, but this tweet you’ve wrote is harsh.
When you compare these stats to current Spurs midfielders, he betters Maddison, Sarr and Bissouma respectfully.
Although the Premier League is a much higher level of football, to be achieving these numbers whilst still a teenager is hugely impressive.
RADU DRAGUSIN:
After an impressive Euro campaign for Romania, Dragusin plays a big role in future seasons and becomes the successor to Romero after his summer move.
Tall, strong and defensively intelligent, he also becomes a fan favourite, reminiscent of Jan Vertonghen.
DESTINY UDOGIE:
Udogie will hold down the left-back spot convincingly for years.
As the market for left-backs is relatively poor, we can keep his value high & out of reach from any side wanting to acquire him.
Aged 26, we will offer him a new contract in the 2028/29 season.
PAPE MATAR SARR:
Sarr will start alongside Gray as the more 'experienced' of the two. Granted, he'd still be only 26!
Where the midfield was once a problem, all those issues will hopefully just be a memory of the past.
What a player he's been & what a player he could become.
⚪️After securing European football for the upcoming season, it's fair to assume we will be seeing plenty of Bergvall in a Spurs shirt.
And after fighting off competition from Barcelona, it seems we've got a future star on our hands. 🌟
LUCAS BERGVALL:
Bergvall will become the poster boy for Tottenham & become one of Europe's brightest talents.
Aged just 23, he will be the focal point of the midfield alongside Archie Gray
All of Europe's top clubs will have their eyes on him and for good reason!
BEN DAVIES:
Similar to Royal, his time will come to an end either this summer, or next summer when his contract ends.
Come 2029, Davies will have retired and returned to the club to take up a position as an Academy coach or part of the Managers backroom staff.
Another strength Bergvall offers is his passing range.
🪄 Compared to midfielders such as Barcelona's Frenkie De Jong, Bergvall dictates his sides pace of play and decides when to ramp up the tempo.
Finally, Bergvall offers an eye for goal. ⚽️
In 10 starts this season, Bergvall has scored 3 times which includes an absolute screamer last week against Mjallby.
Djurgarden have scored 24 goals this season so far, meaning Bergvall has contributed to 12.5% of the teams goals.
RODRIGO BENTANCUR:
Bentancur will become a squad player due to his injury record and will mostly feature in Europe.
Whilst he will still show glimpses of his old self over the next 5 years, he will struggle to reach the levels he did during Conte's time at the club.
Was great interviewing Boston United midfielder Dylan Hill this evening.
Dylan discussed the psychological impacts of being released from his boyhood club, as well as how he coped with the news and is now thriving in Boston.
A great footballer and a great person.
#Boston
MIKEY MOORE:
It's absolutely ridiculous to think Moore will be just 21 years old in 5 years time. And during that time he has been involved in the first team thoroughly.
Spurs fend off offers from BVB, Moore will be starting for the side and be the countries biggest talent.
ARCHIE GRAY:
Finally a Championship signing that proved to be a great one! Gray will compete for a starting spot in the midfield as well as stints at right-back.
During this time he will have had his first England call-up and help solve our club-trained player issues.
One strength of Bergvall's game that has proven to be an overall weakness at Tottenham is aerial ability
Tottenham have conceded 14 goals from set pieces this season, ranking them the 6th worst in the league for this. However, it would seem Bergvall could help combat the issue.
YVES BISSOUMA:
Another midfielder whose future doesn't look likely that it will be at Tottenham.
A lack of consistent performances will result in Bissouma being sold within the next few seasons.
I could see him potentially ending up in France at a top 6 side.
If you compare this to Tottenham's last 2 games, they made 611 passes against eventual champions Manchester City and 697 passes versus Sheffield.
Therefore, it would be easy to assume that Bergvall will be seeing plenty more of the ball in Postecoglou's ball playing system.🇦🇺
Bergvall has averaged around 40 passes a game this season and has a pass accuracy of over 88% putting him in the top 10% of players.
Whilst 40 passes doesn't sound overly impressive, it's important to remember in the last 2 games his side have only made a maximum of 410 passes.
Players such as Bissouma have won just 0.61 of aerial duels a game, equating to 48% of all aerial duels he competes in.
Bergvall however wins over double what Bissouma does, with 1.27 won p/90 equating to a 57% success rate.
Standing at 6'1'' it's no wonder why.
BRENNAN JOHNSON:
Brennan continues to be a consistent outlet of assists for his side.
A few years under Postecoglou has helped him improve his end product when it comes to finishing.
Although he isn't world class, he becomes a good option for Spurs going forward.
OLIVER SKIPP:
Reports suggest Skipp future at Spurs is uncertain & I believe that will be the case. Injuries & constant changes of manager were his downfall.
Skipp will be playing near the lower half of the league at a club like Brentford, or a Championship side like Leeds.
JAMIE DONLEY:
After various stints on loan in the Championship and at lower-placed Prem sides, Donley broke into the first team and competes against Bergvall for a starting spot.
Another club-trained player, he becomes a huge asset for the side in European competitions.
Unlike previous threads, this is a bit of fun & completely opinionated.
Due to the squad size, I've had to leave players out who don't play/are leaving this summer to make space.
I've also imposed a 5-year transfer ban to keep myself from going off on a tangent 🤣

GIOVANI LO CELSO:
Lo Celso eventually moved back to Spain and found form for his side.
Lo Celso will be thought of as a 'what if' Tottenham player as well as a player who didn't receive as much recognition as he perhaps should have.
JAMES MADDISON:
Maddison finds his early 2023/24 form and has a few good seasons with the club, acting as a mentor for the young Bergvall.
Injuries as well as age puts the club in a position to sell him & pave the way for younger players within the club.
RICHARLISON:
Unfortunately Richarlison is sold during this time period. A big offer from Saudi Arabia left Spurs no choice but to cash in on the Brazilian.
Despite being brilliant on his day, fitness issues always held him back & it was time for a fresh start.
Means a lot to be mentioned alongside such hardworking people who made this club so competitive this season. 🔴
Looking forward to next season!
#WeAreImps
DEJAN KULUSEVSKI:
Kulusevski continues to struggle finding previous seasons form and is dropped to the bench & is now a squad player.
He has his games where he's unplayable but ultimately he struggles to keep this consistent. Therefore, he is constantly rumoured to moves away.
🗞️ My first piece specifically on a player.
🇹🇷 Kadioglu has been attracting attention from big clubs in the past 2 seasons or so, including Arsenal & Inter Milan.
If you have a few minutes please give it a read!
#thfc
#coys
🇨🇦 He's also shone on the international stage too, scoring 26 times in 48 appearances.
This has helped see his country reach just their second ever World Cup in Qatar 2022, and their first time competing in the Copa America this year.
Serious conversations need to be had over Romero. Us fans already know how good he is but the rest of the league constantly disrespect him. Always turns up in the big moments.

TIMO WERNER:
His 24/25 season loan wasn't a successful one and he returned to RB Leipzig the following year.
Werner makes various moves across Germany during this time and fails to replicate form he set early on in his career.
The Canadian international joined LOSC Lille in the summer of 2020 for just under £25m.
Despite tallying double digits of goals in his first 2 seasons, it's his last 2 seasons where he's earnt a reputation of being a goal scorer, netting 43 times in just 71 appearances.
@InvertTheWing
I’d much rather give opportunities to players such as Donley and Hall who have been performing very well in the academy. He’s had a few seasons within the first team setup and still doesn’t look too great.
He’s not a bad player but is this really a player that improves the side? Or is it just another cheap alternative?
Our rivals are linked with Šeško, we’re linked with Edwards and have signed Werner on loan.
#thfc
#coys
(🟢) Marcus Edwards would be happy to return to
#Tottenham
.
Sporting are understood to value him at £15 million before further add-ons. Including Spurs' 35% sell-on cut, that would take the initial base figure to around £9.75m.
@AlasdairGold
Seeing stories like this makes me wonder why Spurs don’t look into the South American market more. So much potential on a cheap, which we all know Levy loves 🤷♂️
🚨⚒️ Understand West Ham are in talks for Brazilian talent Luis Guilherme, as negotiations advance for 2006 born winger.
Package being discussed around 30m fee + sell on clause, waiting for next steps. 🇧🇷

to decide soon on Fabrício Bruno after personal terms new issues.

@thespursweb
@mcgrathmike
That wouldn’t really be his job. He’d have his preferences/targets that he’d give the green light for, the rest would be down to DoF to sort out.

However, this strength of David will allow himself to progress up the pitch in tight areas, as well as maintain possession of the ball whilst he waits for his side to meet him further up the pitch like Kane used to do with Son regularly.
@owenthfc__
That’s fair enough but realistically it’s the Daily Mail. If it’s not Sky, Ornstein, Fabrizio or O’Keefe you have to take it with a pinch of salt.
Also, he might have been a £40m player ability wise but given his contract & how much he was playing we were never getting that.
@MaddersTHFC
Absolutely not. Whilst he is a quality player his attitude is also so poor. We’ve finally got a good bunch of personalities within the squad I wouldn’t want to spoil it.
@RohanTHFC
I wouldn’t.
With Levy as Chairman we would not see a penny of that money invested.
We’d be a quality player (and captain) down with no adequate replacement found.
Obviously take this with a pinch of salt, seeing as it is pre-season, but his ability to work in tight spaces will be so valuable for us.
Also trying to always progress the ball up the pitch, none of this pointless sideways, backwards passing nonsense.

Dominant display by the Imps to book themselves a spot in the semis vs Lincoln United.
Was also a pleasure to run the Lincoln Women’s Twitter account this afternoon👹
Another strength is his passing ability. David is a player that is comfortable playing in a possession based setup. He has achieved an 82.7% pass completion rate, which betters Richarlison's by 14% and also equals Son.
His % rate ranks him in the top 3% of strikers in Ligue 1
Last half hour was a good display I thought. The youth players just get it. Bergvall looked sharp and I thought Moore did well when he came on.

Outrageous take. Myself along with 99% of men on my course at University have never played professional football. However we’re allowed to comment on it when we’re in the industry but my female friends who are just as talented & hardworking can’t because they’re a woman? Unreal.
Stand by everything I’ve said on Women commenting and co-comms on the Men’s football.
Like me talking about Knitting or Netball. Way out of my comfort zone.
Some of the Men are bad enough!
We have gone too far. You cannot watch a game now without hearing the nonsense.
Any
At times, Johnson and Richarlison have shown a lack of confidence keeping hold of the ball around opposition players and therefore being dispossessed.
The same can be said for Son, who has played a more central role this year as a result of a dip in dribbling ability.
Makes sense to tap into the Korean market given the Korean fanbase we have through Son.
Not opposed to the move but signings after Yang have to be starting lineup level.

⚪️🇰🇷 Tottenham scouts believe South Korean forward Min-hyuk Yang has important potential, huge talent for the future.
He’s gonna sign for Spurs now, medical to be booked soon — then staying at Gangwon FC until January.
Documents to be prepared in the next days.
Another great experience the other night. This time helping Lincoln City man the cameras for the ‘We Are Imps Podcast’ which featured Ex-Lincoln forward Matt Rhead, who was part of Lincoln’s famous FA Cup run in 2017.👹
But what strengths, as well as potential weaknesses could David bring if he were to sign for Spurs?
Firstly, David offers very good ball retention which is something a lot of Spurs fans would agree has been lacking in our attacking players this season.
🚨🇧🇷 Understand talks between AC Milan and Tottenham for Emerson Royal are currently in stand-by.
Negotiations have gone cold after Spurs rejecting two approaches and still asking for more than €20m fee.
Milan and Spurs are not advancing, at this stage.
@SpursOfficial
Awful that of all players to face the press it’s him. Him and Romero have been severely let down by the players in front of them. Why not send Maddison who has been awful for weeks and is supposed to be one of the vice captains?
As well as this, he's been at Lille for a few seasons now without many concrete links to bigger clubs in Europe. It makes one think, why? Would we sign him if his price wasn't reduced like it currently is?
Despite this, you can't question his goal scoring ability or talent. 🌟
As reported by
@AlasdairGold
earlier today, Jonathan David is thought to be high on Spurs' striker list.
Various reports suggest he could be available for a respectable £30m due to David only having a year left on his contract at Lille.
The same story every week, poor defending from set pieces. Aside from that, thought we played well especially with Udogie out.
Big summer ahead, you can see the potential. ⚪️

Again, Spurs fans have been left frustrated with attacking players decision making and poor passes in and around the box and as a result, failing to break down low blocks.
However with this little bit of added quality, it's a step forward in the right direction.
What a game and what a win for Lincoln’s Men’s Volleyball Team! A 5 set thriller versus Nottingham Trent sees the hosts win 3-2🏆
#UoL
Lincoln’s 1st Team are enjoying life to this new campaign, currently unbeaten in the league with wins against Nottingham and Northampton.
Sangare is a very well-rounded midfielder who likes to get stuck in with tackles and aerial duels. Once he's overturned possession he looks to get the ball forward and start an attack.
In the Eredivisie last season Sangare made 7.90 progressive passes per/90
That £30 million fee paid in January is starting to look like a bargain and will certainly provide much needed competition in the defense next season.

Few reports on my timeline saying Eze is now our top priority.
He would be a brilliant signing that boosts the teams quality in the final 3rd. Capable of playing as the 10 and the wing.
Still do think we need to sign a top winger also though.

Breaststroke- Adam Peaty. 2 Olympic gold medals, 6 world championships and beaten his own world record in the 50m and 100m multiple times. I’m also pretty sure he has just under 50 set times that would all rank in the top 25 fastest times of all time for the 100m breaststroke.
