Why are the locals so unhappy?
Me and @Rajat_Raghuram run a small basketball community in Bangalore. Some of us were playing in Indiranagar 10-11 PM (booked via Game Theory), yesterday (11th Feb). Around 10:40 PM some cops barged in asking to shut everything and mentioning that there was a noise complaint. There was also a badminton court, they even went inside and shut that fully. No one was screaming, people were just playing, that too inside a school. Not sure how this was creating noise for the neighbourhood, couldn’t visibly see any houses that were close. They didn’t even show us any proof of us crossing the decibel limit. Why can’t people play a sport they love, in peace? CC: @suintheory @BlrCityPolice

I’ve always maintained that not the time difference, but the Indian manager who is the problem.
We Indians still have that slavery mindset. Let's say you work with a US team. Then your manager will always force you to adjust a/c to them. You will have to join late night and early morning calls, but the US counterpart team will only join meetings during their working hours, 9 am to 7 pm at max. Moreover, if they have daylight saving time, then you have to schedule meetings even later till 11 pm or 12 am, just to make sure they don't have to sacrifice their precious hours. And all this so that your manager gets promoted to the US. Moreover, this becomes a ritual and gets passed on from seniors to freshers and it gets normalized. Then we indian take pride in working late nights, with US people.

@HR_starryeyes Aree banao in China and sell. No problem. Just don’t tout it as the next best thing since slice bread and made in india especially if you’re claiming research backed yet there is no supporting dats when asked. @MhaskarChief
