@ckotra ...PEP a "side hustle" (by definition, a way to earn extra money). They even noted the prices of the merch he's "flogging" - but not the facts of where the money goes - i.e. not to him. I doubt they'd approve of one of their targets making this kind of editorial call.

@ckotra I think it matters in the context of not being misleading about somebody's incentives, and would expect a show about media ethics to be a bit more careful about that. It's good to point out when rules are broken, it's shithouse to misrepresent someone's motives.

@ckotra @ABCmediawatch Not sure you're quite across this- making a show for the ABC is not the same as "working for govt". Even if it was, the pod is about US politics, not the Australian govt. And no laws were broken, it was about ABC editorial policies. You saw a different painting to the one I did🤷‍♀️
