The ultimate 'grammarhawk,' he used his touch of genius for creativity and devilment in equal measure! Great instinct and perception for what he did. When Noel laid a bet, on horse or team, it was wise to follow.

Cuala made sweat it out to win All-Ireland club football title, 3-14 to 1-16. When it counted Con O'Callaghan closed it out with block and assist for insurance score. But Peter Harte was magnificent after the break in defeat.

With both All-Ireland senior club semi-finals now postponed until next Saturday there's a better chance the football final will remain fixed for the same date, Sunday Jan 19, with no league overlap. Provided finalists agree to eight-day turnaround.

And just like that Na Fianna become the second club to win a Leinster football and hurling club double. 25 years apart in their case.
