! The Fungarium recently aquired a new long term loan.
It is a 19th C. Shaman mask made from the bracket fungus, 𝘍𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘱., by the Rai people in Tibet. It was made and used by shamans to ward off evil spirits in rituals and in homes.
