For the record pre pandemic, seeing any black actors in anime playing major characters who weren't already seen as black was incredibly rare. Add the fact that black characters in anime are super rare, then remember alot of the time we only got to be considered for black roles. .

I am begging you all to watch more dubs. Ghost stories is ART but it isn't the only one 😭 it's 2024 my dude. Any eng dub that's even remotely funny gets the GS comparison. Remember 99% of dubs have way more rules to play by than GS had. They basically got training weights on.
