In 1997, we had a referendum on Welsh devolution. Only half of those eligible to vote bothered to turn out. The “Yes” vote won by 50.3% to 49.7% “No”. The difference was a mere 6,721 votes. I voted “No”.
Neither I or anyone else asked for a 2nd referendum.

I’m Kev, I’m 55 years old, and work in the NHS. In 2016, I voted leave (and would do so again), but at 11 years old was too young to vote in the 1975 European referendum. Those people who voted in 1975 thought they were joining a trading bloc - not a political union.

Most of these people have got their priorities wrong. They don’t have a clue how to budget their money, or even how to cook. Basic ingredients like vegetables can be bought extremely cheap, and made into a nutritious and tasty meal to feed a whole family. Some are just too lazy.

I also work for the NHS, and share your views on socialism. I actually voted Tory in Dec 2019 so my Brexit vote could be respected, but such was the hostility towards Tories at the local ICU where I worked at the time, I daren’t tell them how I voted. The hate was unbelievable.
