H.E The President Dr. William Ruto has today been inaugurated as a Patron of the Ocean Decade Alliance, a high-level platform coordinated by the Intergovernmental Panel on Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO @IocUnesco .

As a Patron, the President will champion ocean sustainability, mobilize resources for Decade actions, promote inclusivity & global reach. The inauguration of the President positions Kenya as a front runner in marine sustainability & diplomacy. The three year tenure is renewable.
