I noticed a congregation of pigeons in Cedar-Riverside today, their attention locked on a gal lugging an enormous bag of birdseed from her trunk. When I asked if they were expecting her she replied “They’re my kids! Of course they are!” Humans are so cute.

I met Senator Dziedzic at the Como Cookout days after moving to the cities and, admittedly, didn’t know who she was until she gave me her card after our conversation. She sat with my parents who were visiting from NC and told them that I was in great hands here. She was right.
