Conversions, safety, and damage still king. HC has egregious tools and neutral patterns beyond what should be in FGs imo

Fast RRC Mix-up loop concept at 60 meter for rejump combos. Disc is meaty / hits earlier than 2k 2d. Combos can be adjusted for distance to the wall to add more or less hits. This example with dash cancel hair car keeps you really close.

Playing Nago definitely makes me feel like I can win without having to outplay people. Feels uncomfortable to play as the archetype and still experimenting with characters. Day 2 has shown a lot of good progress but it's been exhausting to play in such a radically different way

Metered 50/50 off 5k stain pop. Useful since 5k pop IAD is a huge risk if they know the countermeasure. And jH jD v jH 2k is a bit too easy to fuzzy.
You can use jh as a pseudo-frame kill for the high but it's not perfect. Use dash cancel kara super at max range 5k

I'm out at 65th in Strive, 6-2, didn't have any expectations really since I've been sleeping poorly. Still felt that I played well this weekend in and out of bracket. Excited to prepare new things for the next event! Hopefully my body will be kind to me as well

25th in Strive at EVO. Felt like I played well overall. Honestly just glad to hang in there while being a little less active and while playing Johnny. Looking forward to figuring new things out next version and hoping my playstyle becomes more valuable on the character 😮💨

Lot of questions at Frosty why I've been competing with Johnny instead of Millia, despite his weaknesses.
He's fun and motivating! Also mastering different character types teaches me a lot about the game, new strategies come from working around character strengths and weaknesses

I think I've experimented enough with Nago, the character is obviously strong but improving in the archetype is going to be hard for me and I don't feel as motivated with the character. I'll continue with Bridget and try out others

Not a fan of rules that reduce accessibility and change the way people have been playing for years instead of designing the game around modern input methods. Every change like this makes it harder for disabled players to play comfortably in competitive settings.

OS for Millia fs counterhit confirm. Either fs into s disc or fs into mirazh-hair car on counterhit Especially useful this season because fs is so large 5h often whiffs as a follow-up.
S disc being safer also helps in case it doesn't combo.

Been thinking about my character picks and determined I can't secondary Millia, it's too hard and too time-consuming to upkeep. So either full Testament + other secondary or main Millia secondary Testament. I'll also try that man to see if he's that guy

Testament matchup chart after about 3 months of playing the character. Test performs consistently against most of the cast and has room to grow in many matchups. Ram is egregious but positive outlook against everyone else. Placements will likely shift with more development

Ok I tried to play good but out at 33rd. I achieved what I wanted but I think my impression of Johnny is much worse after this and casuals.
Without a cancelable dash and proper buttons don't think he can touch a lot of matchups unless they're RPS demons.

Testament is clicking with me. I'm focused on getting them competition ready, then Bridget/ other chars that cover matchup issues. Playing as Nago/Ram/Leo is not fun for me, and I gotta stay motivated. Trying HC slowly in the background but I have to pace myself for no hand pain

Playing sf6 really enforces how passive defensive options in Strive make the game's offense/defense feel so dynamic. Obviously there's room for nuance in 6 esp with parry/di but it feels like offense in a can in comparison until characters reach spacing trap range

Out at 33rd to Nage, felt the strategy was good! Just too many game-winning dropped combos. Happy with how I did considering time I had to practice but mostly excited for season 3 :)

9th at DTN in Strive. Stuck with Testament except for counterpicks. Good progress for a new char but there are some things I don't consistently apply to every opponent and some more strategy building I need to do. Or at least more to fall back on when I'm tired in bracket 😴
