just booted strive up. after 3 minutes I got to celestial. matched against someone. match didn't start. got stuck on "connecting" for a minute. game didn't let me go on any cabinet afterwards. leave lobby and try to enter it again. "a network error has occurred". back here

Chaos nerfs to resource management are the 3rd thing asw has ever reverted, making hc nerfed from top 1 to top 1 to top 1 for 3 successive patches.

The new GGST patch has taught me two things:.1.) My first impressions of Elphelt is that she is going to struggle in a lot of match ups. 2.) I think that people would rather have revenge buffs/nerfs than a more balanced game.

One of the biggest peeves I have with GGST is that there are some special cancels that are *mostly* safe against most of the cast on IB. If I IB Chipp's rekka 1, may I please get a 2P punish? If I IB Gio's 214K, may I please get a 2P punish? Would this gut those characters?.

I think my biggest gripe with this is less so about it being an opinion, and more about the fact that it takes just a little bit of testing to realize Sol gets WAY more conversion opportunities and damage than Ky. Sol CH f.S RS meterless doing wallbreak and half life is insane.
My new Guilty Gear discourse is Ky actually does comparable damage to Sol in most match-practical situations and we need to create a dialogue about this.

Offense is a little too inconsistent. Defense is not the best. While neutral is good, it isn't overwhelming.
I find it incredibly hilarious how Ky has been getting buffed in basically every balance patch, and yet he keeps falling further and further down people's tier lists. Poor guy.

Leo DP strongest defensive tool imo. The following sequence caused by this tool gives him the highest probability of winning the round compared to the other defensive tools.
Baiken parry is the 2nd strongest defensive tool in strive. U cannot change my mind. My top 5 are: Ram super, Baiken Parry, Leo DP, GL super PRC, Sin DP.

@SquidgeLukeSFL I sometimes think that burst safe routing is cool and all, but then I remember that Ram and HC naturally do it (full screen conversion by the way). Instead of nerfing the characters, they buffed the system mechanic. Easier choice, but lazier for sure.
